Although the first thing we do when we visit a seaside area is to go to the beach, the truth is that the first thing we do is to go to the beach. the old town of Jávea offers us a lot of charm.
All the old and historic town The city's medieval architecture, including several arcaded arches and all within a walled enclosure, will take us back to medieval times.
Other buildings of note are:
– Municipal market de Abastos (gothic style)
– City Councilfrom the 18th century
– The house of Antonio Banyuls (where a museum of underwater archaeology is housed).
– Historical and Ethnological Museum of Jávea.
To round off this visit to the historical part of the city, you should not miss a visit to the port. It is the best place in Jávea to enjoy the gastronomy and fresh products of the area.
Montgó Natural Park
If there is one thing this park stands out for is for its wealth of flora and fauna and for its many hiking possibilities. More than 650 flower species we will be able to find in it, in addition to an infinity of birds and mammals such as wild boar and foxes.
We recommend the Cape San Antonio lighthouse route and its breathtaking views of the city or the Molins de la Plana route where you can see up to 11 windmills.
We cannot fail to mention, to close the chapter on landscape and hiking, the Nao Lighthouse. From here the views of the bay of Jávea are incredible. In the surrounding area we can take quiet and gentle strolls enjoying the sea breeze..
